Photo Essay about C.P.

My cast puzzle life meets with my GLPS life. I go there for one month, or four weeks! I am bored to go without my puzzle, so I took some puzzles. I took three of them, but, relating to this, I will indicate my feelings compared by cast puzzles. Each puzzle shows my different feelings, and I chose the puzzles that shows my feelings.

Cast Harmony

(From puzzlemaster.ca)
This is a cast puzzle called harmony. I found that this is a new puzzle that is released in 2012. It is a quite easy puzzle, not hard. But this puzzle states my happy mind. A golden clef and a silver 8 note is hanged each other, and as you solve it, it makes you quite happy. People sing a song when they are happy, usually. These musical notes make a puzzle, and states my 'happy mind.'

Cast NEWS
(From puzzlesolver.com)
This is a cast puzzle called NEWS. I have found out that this puzzle is a trick puzzle, which I have to find the answer of this puzzle by my own. I have once looked at the answer and then regretted; because it had a simple answer. I must not have seen it! This puzzle states my dizzy mind. Think of a very hard math problem. It makes your mind dizzy and cannot control your minds. But, actually, they might have a very simple answer.  Same to this cast puzzle news. It states my 'dizzy mind.'

Cast Equa
(From brilliantpuzzles.com)
This is a cast puzzle called equa. It really looks like a space-like thingy that when the outer thing turns, the smaller inside thing turns separately. This puzzle is very very hard. It is quite famous of the hardness. It is level 5, but not level 6. I never solved this puzzle, but I have to put the little two rings out of the Y shaped body. This puzzle states my 'blocked mind'. When I am sad, I block my mind sometimes and play alone, at home. I am blocked in the big sadness, which is the two rings blocked in the Y shaped body. I then have a hard time putting my mind out of the sadness, which is putting the two rings out of the Y shaped body. So this hard puzzle states my 'sad mind.'

Cast Duet
(From articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar)
This is a cast puzzle called duet. It is taking out two identical rings out of the nine-holed metal thing. But I have to take out each of the rings differently. This states my life with my best friend. I have a best friend who I met him at first grade in Elementary school. We went to several places each other such as Caribbean Bay, skiing course, mud pension, camping car site etc. Our mothers are friends, too, because they are in the same age. But we like different things. This states the different ways to put out each ring. They go out in the same exit, but the way of putting each of them is quite different. My friend and I liked different things and often fight, but always at the last, we have the same mind; friendship. And this means the same exit! So this puzzle states my friendship.

Cast Donuts
(From mechanical-puzzles.blogspot.com)
This is a cast puzzle called donuts. Wow, it looks yummy! A golden doughnut and a silver doughnut is attatched each other and seems not to fall out. This states my hungry mind. Doughnuts are very sweet, but when I am going to solve this puzzle, it will be very hungry. So this puzzle states my hungry mind, and the puzzle looks yummy. Wow.

Cast Marble
(From www.grand-illusions.com)
This is a cast puzzle called marble. This puzzle is solved very uniquely. If you position the marble in a specific shape, the puzzle turns and there comes two marble pieces and two square shapes down to the ground. It TURNS. One of the square shape just turns from the other and falls out. This states my surprised mind. This puzzle's solution is very surprising, because people don't know how to take these pieces out. So this surprising puzzle states my surprising mind.

Cast Medallion
(From mechanical-puzzles.blogspot.com)
This is a cast puzzle called medallion. It is a limited edition of all cast puzzles. It is a big puzzle, and hard to solve; there are golden maze plates on the front and the back, and two gray medals. You have to put the four pieces out by moving both two mazes at the front and back. This states my conflicting mind. I want to do two things, but actually one thing is only available. I conflict inside my mind, and choose one at the last. These two minds states the two mazes, and choosing the thing is solving this puzzle! So this states my conflicting mind.

I stated seven cast puzzles compared to my seven minds. Harmony-happiness, NEWS-dizziness. Equa-sadness, Duet-friendship. Donuts-hungryness, Marble-surprised mind, and Medallion-conflict! Wow, cast puzzles are great and could even state my mind! So this was my 7-photo essay.

My strong persuasive writing

  Dear our President (Park president),

I am writing this letter because I believe that dogs aren't allowed in apartments. Many 'experts' like apartment house owners who got disturbed by dogs, for example agree with me. I will explain reasons for this and give facts to support my opinion.

The first reason is because they are very loud when they bark. There are statistics to show this is true. According to my experience, the dog that lives right next door is so loud that I am stressed. I got this stress enough and if this happens more, I was about to tell this to the civil affair office in our apartment. I was one of the 'poor' people who get disturbed by dogs. In a MBC news(sorry, it is written and reported in Korean), it says that 10% of house noise problems are...dog sounds!!!!! http://imnews.imbc.com/replay/nwtoday/article/3308938_5782.html

The second reason is because they let out 'dirty things' and pollute the apartment. It has been discovered that in the other news, dogs let out their dung into a snow. Where did they let it out? It was a park. Dogs pollute places that many people use, like a park! There are bad owners who don't even try to clean the dung. These two combies make 'more pollution'. In the same MBC news that I had mentioned, people do not hang collars although there is 50,000 won fine when they didn't hang collars on dogs. The park is getting polluted by dogs, and the owner, too.

The third reason is that they are aggresive and sometimes bite people. Dogs that doesn't have collars bark and run around, frightening people. This happens commonly at apartments, or a park. I saw a dog running around the apartment that I live, anda woman was frightened when it went right past her. I was surprised and shocked, too! There is data to show this is true; the same MBC news (This news has many things to claim about dogs' disadvantages.). In the news, a dog barks to people in a park, and the people looked surprised.

As you can see, dogs are main problems in apartments or in a park. They bark, let out, and are aggresive! I don't like dogs very much because they make probolems to people. Based on my arguments, I hope you will consider my point of view that dogs are public 'problems' and must not live with people in apartments. Dogs might make their owners happy, but might disturb the rest of all people.

Sincerely and seriously,
Timothy

Richard's Flyaway?

Richard was going up in the elevator of his 683 storied building. Almost 1/4 of his building is a parking tower. He likes cars so much that he collects very many cars! The rest of the building is his entire house. The building looks a lot like a hotel, but it is actually a huge and tall house for one person. He has many super cars, which are really fast. But why is Richard going to the top? It is because...his best car was there...Bugatti Veyron Grand sport. Its top speed is approximately 407km/h, and in England, it costs a million pounds! He finally arrived at the top of his building.

There, he saw his best car, and also saw three things. He was on the rooftop. There was his building's car elevator, a ramp that directly leads to the ground, and his space shuttle that can load himself and his Bugatti Veyron. He was thrilled and could use any of the three things. His family and parents were far away in a foreign country. He could ride another super car like Koenigsegg CCX, or Lamborghini Murcielago if he just goes down in his car with the elevator (without his car). He could 'expercience' when he uses the ramp. Or he could go to outer space...with his Bugatti Veyron!!! He is wondering what to do, and...something flashed in his mind.

The great medieval movie, The Princess Bride

"The Princess Bride" is a fairy tale movie, made in 1987, and directed by Rob Reiner. Some scary parts were in the movie, so I could call it a thriller, but I think this is a romantic fairy tale.

This movie is kind of medieval. A castle, a beautiful princess, a king, and someone who loves the princess. The princess is Princess Buttercup, played by Robin Wright. The man, who loved her is Westley, the man in black, played by Cary Elwes. There is Prince Humperdink, who tried to marry the princess by force. There were three people who took the princess with the boat: Fezzik is the huge Giant, Andre Roussimoff, which was a real wrestler. Inigo is the Spanish knight whose father died by the six fingered man, Count Rugen. And there was Vizzini, who was smart but died because he drank poison. There was Miracle Max, who cured Westley. These entire characters were in a story. A grandfather (Peter Falk) read his grandson (Fred Savage) the story, which the title is "The Princess Bride."

This movie has many unique settings in it. The house of Miracle Max seemed to be a medieval hospital. There was a very big machine in the Pit of despair. It made Westley unable to move, because it took fifty years of his life. There was a dangerous forest that has a fire swamp, quick sand, huge rats etc. It is the Forest of Thieves. In the sea, there were the shrieking eels. These are the unique settings in the movie.

This movie was quite fun because there are two worlds. The modern one and the medieval one. A grandpa reads his grandson a book. There was a princess who gets caught but was protected by Westley. Westley seems to have leadership qualities because he has the will to protect the princess. Things go right and wrong in the movie, but in the end everything goes fine. Inigo kills the six fingered man, and Westley gets back some of his power. The princess survives all of this dangerous adventure. So I learned a lesson that I can survive WITH protecting the other person. Great movie it is!

My brilliant 30-day goals

I have three goals that I truly want to achieve. One is knowing about Japanese trains. The other is gaining weight. And the last is trying to solve the Mega minx. All three of them are my goals that I am willing to do not only in here, but outside.

The first goal is knowing about Japanese trains on the internet. I can't go to Japan during GLPS, and I don't even have time going there! So I will go to Japan indirectly. I will find about Japanese trains. I have been finding about Japanese trains in an internet blog named Choi Yeon Soo's train story, which is closed recently. I saw many gorgeous Japanese train pictures in that blog, and started to think that going to Japan is not a very bad idea. I found about train models that were very realistic, and saw a subway with two Greencars. A Greencar is a higher-class seat only in Japanese trains. This picture is not a Shinkansen or KTX; it is the greencar of a subway.

The second goal is gaining weight. I am forty kilograms, and my arm is too thin that I can directly touch my bones with only 'skin covered.' I am light since I was young, so I want to eat food that has a lot of fat. I have to do something opposite when fat people try to diet. So I will eat many hamburgers and junk foods (am I crazy?), and try to be 'fat', not 'skinny.'

My last goal is trying to solve the mega minx. A mega minx is a dodecahedron with twelve pentagons, twelve colors. It is similar to the 3 by 3 Rubik's cube (which is popular), but has many sides. I first tried to solve it and it easily solved at the first part. But in case that it has twelve sides, I had to think a lot; how to match the upper sides. There are more harder dodecahedrons than the mega minx; giga minx, tera minx, peta minx etc. I now have to see the algorithms of the mega minx in an internet cube cafe that I am in.
Here is the picture of a peta minx.

So these are my three brilliant goals that I want to achieve during GLPS. I like trains, gaining weight, and solving hard Rubik's cubes. Although I couldn't perfectly achieve these three goals, I have the will to do these three brilliant goals.

My triple mysteries

Hello, my name is Timothy Ahn, and I would like to show you my three mysteries.I have three lists of mysteries, and I would like yourselves to be interested in my three mysteries. The hint: I really like Rubik's cubes and Cast puzzles.
This picture is a cast puzzle, named cast helix. You have to put out the ring from the star-like plate. It is level five so If you are interested, try it!

The first list says 'four years.' I am NOT four years old, indeed. I am not a fourth grader in an Elementary school. I don't have a pet that is four years old. Then, what is the 'four years?' It means that I've been wearing only two Swissflex glasses four four years straight. Swissflex is a glass company that flexes very well, and I have been wearing only two of that company's glasses for four years.

The second list says'10&7.' What does it mean? I don't have younger brothers that are 10 years old and 7 years old each. I don't do something ten times and seven times each in one day. Then, what does it mean? It is the number of my cubes and cast puzzles. I have ten cubes and seven cast puzzles. I like both kinds of puzzles.

The third list says 'RRR.' What does RRR means? It doesn't mean Right Right Right. It is not even the sound of a phone ringing. It is not the sound of vibration. Then, what?????
It is the name of the video that I sometimes watch; Ran ran ru. There are over hundred kinds of Ran ran ru videos, but I know two videos that have really good songs in the video.

These are my three lists of mysteries. I have more things that are unique, and can make them into a mystery. How was the 'three mysteries?' It might be unexpected, but all of the three mysteries have a truth. So these were my fun triple mysteries.
